It's spelled wrong because it's not what you were trying to spell. So if you look at it either spelled correctly or incorrectly in the context of what it means, it would be incorrect. But, since it is a word with a different meaning, it is spelling correctly in the sense that the word exists.

it is still spelled correctly but is still a diffrent word its a grammer error not a spelling error becuase it IS spelled correctly BUT ITS NOT the word i wanted to use.
